harvest: early September
In the past these have hung in the screened summer kitchen to dry. This year, though, we're not there to hear if any wildlife shows up to take an illicit share of our chicken feed harvest (last year we were invaded by flying squirrels, no less). So we're going to hang the sunflowers on the back porch of the bnb, our temporary home. It looks like we're going to have a huge crop.
