Barry Bender was our teacher, neighbor, and friend. More, he was one of the best examples we have ever known of self-giving, wisdom, and kindness. He leaves a great gap in our community, one we will struggle to fill. We are warmed knowing his love has not left us, it has just grown more powerful.

To all the folks who love and will miss Barry, we extend our hands in shared sorrow.
