One of the great things about farming is that when your house burns not a whole lot changes. The recent rains have given the native weeds a real boost -- gallinsoga is closing in on the zinnias we planted for the Sisters' altar, while the chickens in the tractor in the background are harvesting a lovely, thick bed of wild amaranth. With the house gutted after today's work party, Anna and I can't wait to get out and work in the gardens.
