weaning time

Two bull calves in the big barn for weaning, before their mothers form permanent bad habits (holding back their milk).

Calf sharing (letting a cow raise her own calf while you are also milking her) is a great thing for the calf, less so for milk production if you have a cow who loves her calf better than she loves you. Bristol and Brazil have gotten a good start, and now we're weaning them so we'll FINALLY get all the cream we want.
