Shenandoah Homestead Supply: good milk cans

Our thanks to Shenandoah Homestead Supply, who provided buckets, milk cans, and strainers for our dairy workshop at the Indiana Homesteading Conference in Indianapolis last month. Not only was that hugely helpful, since our own milk equipment is always in use on the farm, but we find that their equipment is strongly built and well-machined: buckets are seamless, bail handles are heavy and firmly attached, and milk can lids fit tight enough to prevent splashes.

As with Premier1 and fence equipment, while we don't receive money to endorse anyone's products, we are glad to be able to point you toward good equipment and helpful, friendly service. Shenandoah has both. I'm thinking I'll have to try out their 5 litre milk cans as refrigerator-friendly milk storage soon; the bnb sink is cast iron, and I'm rapidly breaking all my gallon jars.
