thanks for cows

We share this email from a couple who attended our workshop last week. Fast work, say we!

Hello!!

This is (names omitted). We just wanted to say thank you again the for dairy cow intensive workshop last weekend. We learned so much and left feeling much more confident and ready for our first dairy cow.

We actually bought a jersey/Holstein today, along with her calf. She’s is still giving milk and is due again in March (bred with a dexter bull)! She’s been on grass only forever except for right after she freshened when they tried giving her grain a few times but decided against it.

Also, we took your advice about asking around for a hauler, and the family we bought from has a neighbor who is going to deliver the cow and her calf to us! We feel like we got a steal as she ticked almost all our boxes (every single one except she has horns), looked great, never had any issues, the family was raising her exactly as we plan to, and etc.!

We’re so excited and would still be waiting around if it weren’t for you. We can’t thank you enough!

(Perhaps posting this is a little self-congratulatory, but we love to see another family with a dairy cow -- )
