April farm conference: young farmers panel

We are especially excited that our April farm conference, The Healing Land, is bringing attendees a really exceptional Young Farmers panel. Five experienced farmers in their twenties will talk about their experiences in homesteading and commercial farming, their hopes and plans, and the challenges facing young people entering agriculture today.

Farmer/potter Ashley Felock worked in commercial dairy and agritourism setting before spending two years at the Sow's Ear. In 2021 she became the head farm hand for Foster Fluharty Farm in Smithfield, Ohio, where she is in charge of raising all-natural vegetables for local restaurants and farmers markets, and when she's not picking carrots, she works as a potter and teacher at her home, Stoneborn Pottery
