Mangel-wurzels are excellent farm-raised pig and chicken food.  Despite some irrigation from our rain-capture IBC's, the dry summer prevented us from getting a bumper crop; nevertheless, we expect to root cellar at least 1,000 lbs. of these fodder beets to feed the animals this winter.
